On Saturday, February 1, 2020, at 12:15 pm, Beth El Synagogue of East Windsor will be sponsoring a Shabbat Kiddush after services, during their Scholar in Residence weekend. During the Kiddush, participate in a discussion, “Riding with the Tide: Strategies for Swimming in the Sea of the Talmud” facilitated by visiting scholar, Rabbi Elliot Goldberg.

New readers of the Talmud can become frustrated during their initial encounter with the text. Join us as we engage in a talmudic conversation in response to a question posed in the text and recreate the rabbinic conversation found in the Talmud.
